Follow-up Schedule
A follow-up schedule that is appropriate for the needs of each patient will be agreed on. This follow-up schedule is put in place to ensure the patient's needs are being addressed. In general the follow-up schedule will be similar to the schedule below:
- You will be contact by phone three or four days after the hearing instrument has been delivered to you. This calls purpose is to check your satisfaction and answer any questions you might have. If there are any apparent problems, an appointment will be scheduled at your earliest convenience.
- In about a week to ten days after the delivery of the hearing instrument another call or appointment will be made by the Hearing Care Ptactitioner to check your progress and answer your questions. If there are any apparent problems, an appointment will be scheduled at your earliest convenience.
- About 30 to 90 days after the delivery of the hearing instrument an appointment will be scheduled for an inspection of the ears and to make adjustments if necessary.
Ongoing care is important and an appointment for ear inspection, hearing evaluation, instrument cleaning, and instrument maintenance should be scheduled at least every six months.
